Are your items vegetarian?

This isn't an odd question! Most bakeries use sugar that is refined with bone char, which means their products are not truly vegetarian. We use only unrefined cane sugar that is certified vegan. While this costs more, it gives our cakes and cookies a better flavor - and it also means that you can enjoy your cupcake knowing that there are no traces of cow bones in it.

Do you offer vegan/egg-free items?

Yes! Currently, our only vegan flavor is the Thai Hot Chocolate, but we're working on perfecting our vegan frosting. Several cake flavors can be made without eggs, and all of our shortbread cookies are made without eggs.

Do you offer gluten-free items?

We can make select items gluten-free. However, all items are made in a kitchen that uses wheat flour, so these items should not be considered completely gluten-free.

Do you make things that aren't cakes, cupcakes, and cookies?

Yes - but, for the most part, only along with a cake order. Send us an email with what you have in mind!

How far in advance should I place my order?

While there's no deadline for placing an order, earlier is always better. In general, please allow a minimum of 14 days notice before your event and ideally at least 4 weeks. Wedding cake and large orders should be placed several months in advance. Orders placed with short notice may incur a rush fee depending on the complexity of the design. We hate turning people away, so don’t wait until the last minute to place an order!

How much do your cakes, cupcakes, and cookies cost?

Each cake is individually priced based on the flavor, number of servings, and design; our cakes start at $8 per serving, with the price increasing based on flavor and complexity of design. Cupcakes start at $4.75 for standard size and $2.75 for minis and, like cakes, the price increases based on flavor and design. Please inquire for pricing for cookies and other items.

Is there an order minimum?

We have a $100 order minimum. For standard cupcakes, we require a minimum of one dozen per flavor, and for mini cupcakes, a two dozen minimum per flavor. However, we can often accommodate requests for smaller quantities for minis, so just ask!

Do you make wedding cakes?

Of course! Send us an email so we can get the conversation started.

Do you do wedding tastings?

Because we don't have a storefront, we only offer a customized wedding tasting box, which includes four mini cakes in the flavors of your choice from our menu (custom flavors cannot be accommodated). The cost for this is $80, half of which is applied to wedding cake orders of $500 or more. Tasting boxes must be ordered two weeks in advance of the pickup/delivery date.

Do you use fondant on your cakes?

For the most part, no. Our cakes are covered only in buttercream frosting, but we sometimes add fondant accents (lettering, polka dots, stars, banners, portraits, etc.). We do not make fondant figurines.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do! Right now we only offer delivery in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Delivery starts at $20 for addresses in certain sections of Carroll Gardens and increases based on distance, with the average delivery costing $40. However, most customers choose to pick up their orders. Wedding cake delivery starts at $80 for Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens and increases based on distance; complex setups will incur an additional fee based on the time spent on location. We can deliver to all of NYC and parts of Long Island and Westchester for an additional cost; please include this information when submitting your wedding cake inquiry.

How should I store my cake/cupcakes after I receive it?

If you're serving your cake/cupcakes within a few hours of pickup, you can leave it at room temperature. If it will be longer than that, you can refrigerate your cake/cupcakes and then take it out of the fridge 2-3 hours before serving (less time for cupcakes and warmer rooms/climates). Your cake/cupcakes will stay fresh in the fridge for several days if stored properly - which means in an airtight container. If you're going to serve your cake/cupcakes more than 12 hours after receiving it, we recommend wrapping the box in two layers of plastic wrap. And whatever you do, keep your treats out of direct sunlight! Buttercream does fare well under the sun's rays.

Do you have a store?

Not at the moment. We only fulfill custom orders, which can be picked up from our residence in Carroll Gardens or delivered to your preferred address. And keep an eye out for us at pop-ups.

Can you ship your items?

At this time we do not ship cakes and cupcakes. But we can certainly mail you a box of cookies!

M&Ms or Reese's Pieces?

Reese's Pieces all the way.
